From platinum-selling rock bands to Grammy-winning R&B legends, this free indoor concert series brings some of the most celebrated names in music to downtown Cheyenne.

Once a month from September through May, the intimate Cheyenne Civic Center becomes a time capsule, taking audiences back to the moments when these songs first became part of our lives.

Each show is like flipping through the pages of your high school yearbook or holding a stack of Polaroids, filled with chart-topping hits, unforgettable voices, and performances spanning rock, pop, funk, soul, and hip hop. Whether you are revisiting the soundtrack of your youth or creating new memories to cherish, every concert captures the warmth, connection, and magic that only live music can bring.

ABOUT THANKS FOR THE MEMORIES

For more than 20 years, Fridays on the Plaza has been Cheyenne’s summer tradition, bringing free live music to our community and creating memories that last a lifetime. This year, we are taking that same spirit indoors with Thanks for the Memories, a one of a kind experience we're bringing to our community in gratitude for two decades of love, support, and shared moments under the summer sky.

Hosted at the Cheyenne Civic Center, this series carries a special kind of magic. Built in the 1980s, the Civic Center feels like taking a step back in time, with its bold orange seats and rich wood-paneled walls that help deliver some of the best acoustics in the region. How vintage of us. It is the perfect backdrop for a series that celebrates the music that shaped our lives.

CHEYENNE CIVIC CENTER CODE OF CONDUCT

'Thanks for the Memories' is a free, family-friendly concert series designed for our entire community to enjoy. We carefully select our artists based on their talent, merit, and ability to bring people together. While we inform all artists that this is an all-ages event, our venue does not censor artistic content and is not responsible for what may be said on stage.

We recognize that “family-friendly” means different things to different people, so if you’d like to learn more about a specific artist before attending, we encourage you to check out their music on the event’s Spotify playlist or reach out to us for more information.
